Thank you Liz, Melly and Barbara!
It is so distressing watching Mark face work when he is hating it so greatly now. He is just sitting here dreading tomorrow and he's not even going in!
He sees the GP tomorrow too...can you believe no one has asked him to come in re his fatty liver disease?? He was told over the phone by the nurse! I feel quite disappointed in the surgery for this.
Anyway, I will let you now how he is and what the Doc has to say! He has lost 7lbs but now our scales have broken (hmm?LOL) and so he hasn't weighed himself tonight..
Much love,
Amanda

Hi Amanda, Wishing Mark all the best for tomorrow. That's dreadful that he hasn't yet seen a doctor about his liver problem. Mind you , as you know, Ian was diagnosed with diabetes just before christmas and our surgery seem to be dragging their heels on that. Hope he finds he's lost more weight when he gets weighed tomorrow, that might lift his spirits a bit. Thinking of you all, Doreen xx

Dear Amanda, Sorry things are still difficult for you and Mark. It can`t be much fun having to go to work to a job he hates, and also having the additional worry about his liver. Good news about your god-daughter - and what a lovely name! My god-daughter will be 18 this Saturday! Love & prayers, Kathleen x

Dear Amanda,
I hope that Mark got some constructive help today. It does sound as if he is low in mood as a result of his ill health which does go along with hypothyroidism I believe. Such a shame, not enough support for him from the medics and this may be the outcome! Things just don't happen in a vacuum!

Hi,
Incredibly Mark has had a completely different outcome to his GP's appointment than we'd expected! Firstly the GP is furious that anyone told him the results over the phone and had presumed Mark just hadn't bothered to come in!
He has been told that although the liver is slightly inflamed and bright, it is only mild fatty liver and his main concerns are the thyroid which is being helped but not controlled yet.
So he has increased the thyroxine to 75mg and we'll see how he tolerates this.....he is deeeelighted as we know what it is and it is controllable!
So, thank you most gratefully for prayers said for this matter!
Bad news is that whilst quietly working from here he was called in and has disappeared!
And I have no wine and it's Monday!
Love,
Amanda

Amanda
I am so sorry that you and Mark are finding life so difficult at the moment. Try and keep positive. You never know what is around the corner and what God's plans are for us. My Husband was in a job he hated and eventually through poor health from the stress of his job had to give up work. We had no idea how we would cope financially and emotionally but now three years down the line we are living on half the money we did but my Husband is happy being a house husband and it is a god send that he does everything that I used to be able to do before the dreaded RA struck. I believe everything happens for a reason and things will eventually work themselves out for you. If you have love, which I am sure you do, you will come through this.
Lots of love and hugs
Jackie xx

Hi Amanda What a time you are having but pleased to learn that Mark had a satisfactory appointment with his GP and came away with something positive. Fingers crossed that things will start to improve for you soon. Try to remain positive, as Jackie says, things happen for a reason, although we may not understand it at the time! Take care, Lyn x

I am so pleased for Mark Amanda. At lease knowing his health problems can be treated will help at this difficult time and will hopefully make him feel stronger whatever he decides to do workwise. Having said all that - what a crime leaving you with no wine . Hope he gets back early. Julie

AW thanks for the virtual wine...oooooh it was delicious..
And virtual is all I can have as it is Lent not Mark's incapacity to find me wine (we live next door to the Majestic!LOL) that is the culprit!
Fancy giving up wine! This is worse than last year when I gave up tea......
Not back yet and it's past midnight, honestly I don't know what these companies think they're playing at! he phoned me earlier and said all he wants is to be at home with me and watch my wine withdrawal, gosh he must be bored...
Jackie, we live on love alone! LOL
Much love,
Amanda

Hope that the increase in Thyroxine helps Mark. I am sure that it will. Shocking to think that you have worried so much about his liver but at least you know the truth now.
